To enable the Federation to act as a united voice on subjects of particular importance, sub-committees have been formed to examine particular issues. QLHF performances often include martial arts of a particular period, and the use of edged weapons, polearms, armour, and projectile weapons including bows, black powder and cartridge firearms.
Firearms and Edged Weapons:
This sub-committee keeps abreast of proposed and existing legislation in respect of black powder and cartridge firearms, as well as cannon. Safety policies and codes of conduct also fall within this area of interest. It also aims to produce codes of practice for edged weapons, polearms, armour and projectile weapons (excluding firearms) as guidelines for societies using the same. It also keeps abreast of any relevant proposed legislation
