Fort Lytton is not only a significant part of Queensland's history, nor is it a cradle of Queensland's Military history spanning several world conflicts - it is an existing and tangible piece of our cultural heritage that exists right now, right alongside our contempory lifestyle.

It was built in the 1880s to stem fears of a Russian attack on British colonies in the Pacific.
