Starting a group:
If you have started or are starting a living history group and would like to be part of the Queensland Living History Federation please contact us for more information.
While most of our member groups are re-enactment groups based in Queensland, membership is also available to groups based in other states.
Membership is also available groups that aren’t re-enactment groups, such as preservation societies (preserving music, artifacts, skills, crafts or historical sites) and research societies (researching a particular period or field in world history).
We look at a number of criteria when reviewing an application – these include the sources you use for your research, your current kit (clothing, equipment, tents etc.), and your overall goals as a group.
We recommend that you have a look at our members section to get a better idea of what our Federation groups are doing.

Our member groups cover a wide range of historical interests and eras spanning from the ancient world through to the 20th century.
