Women in History is a Queensland group of passionate women re-enactors who bring to life the contribution of women throughout early period European and medieval history.
The group portrays women from many cultures and countries, careers and social classes whose influences were significant between 600-1600AD. Tales of political, military, religious, social and educational inspiration are retold with displays of crafts and skills pertaining to the lifetimes of each character.
Each day at public events the group presents a play, presentations and activities and also dialogue on a variety of personas and medieval activities including handicrafts, herb lore and music. Visit one of our displays and sit amongst the accoutrements of the Middle Ages and be immersed in the experiences.
